Ciphertext-policy hierarchical attribute-based encryption with short ciphertexts

چکیده
Attribute-based encryption (ABE) systems allow encrypting to uncertain receivers by means of an access policy specifying the attributes that the intended receivers should possess. ABE promises to deliver fine-grained access control of encrypted data. However, when data are encrypted using an ABE scheme, key management is difficult if there is a large number of users from various backgrounds. In this paper, we elaborate ABE and propose a new versatile cryptosystem referred to as ciphertext-policy hierarchical ABE (CPHABE). In a CP-HABE scheme, the attributes are organized in a matrix and the users having higher-level attributes can delegate their access rights to the users at a lower level. These features enable a CP-HABE system to host a large number of users from different organizations by delegating keys, e.g., enabling efficient data sharing among hierarchically organized large groups. We construct a CP-HABE scheme with short ciphertexts. The scheme is proven secure in the standard model under non-interactive assumptions.

Chosen Ciphertext Secure Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption with Constant Ciphertext Length and Threshold Policy
A ciphertext-policy attribute-based encryption scheme allows that an encrypter assigns a decryption policy to ciphertexts. Any user will be able to decrypt if and only if a set of attributes (his private key) satisfy the assigned decryption policy. In this paper we first propose a new chosen ciphertext secure ciphertext-policy attribute-based encryption scheme with constant-size ciphertext and ...
متن کاملRecipient Anonymous Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-based Broadcast Encryption
The ciphertext-policy (CP) attribute-based broadcast encryption (CP-ABBE) is a more flexible broadcast encryption (BE), in which the broadcaster encrypts the data with an access policy and a receiver set. Only receivers in the valid set who satisfy the access policy will be able to decrypt the ciphertext. However, most existing CPABBE schemes only pay attention to plaintext privacy rather than ...
متن کاملA Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption Scheme with Constant Ciphertext Length
An Attribute-Based Encryption (ABE) is an encryption scheme, where users with some attributes can decrypt ciphertexts associated with these attributes. The length of the ciphertext depends on the number of attributes in previous ABE schemes. In this paper, we propose a new Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption (CP-ABE) with constant ciphertext length. In our scheme, the number of pairing...
متن کاملAttribute-Based Encryption from Identity-Based Encryption
Ciphertext-policy attribute-based encryption (CP-ABE) is an access control mechanism where a data provider encrypts a secret message and then sends the ciphertext to the receivers according to the access policy which she/he decides. If the attributes of the receivers match the access policy, then they can decrypt the ciphertext. This manuscript shows a relation between ABE and identity-based en...
متن کاملFunctional encryption for public-attribute inner products: Achieving constant-size ciphertexts with adaptive security or support for negation
In functional encryption (FE) schemes, ciphertexts and private keys are associated with attributes and decryption is possible whenever key and ciphertext attributes are suitably related. It is known that expressive realizations can be obtained from a simple functional encryption flavor called inner product encryption (IPE), where decryption is allowed whenever ciphertext and key attributes form...
